House Extension, East Dulwich

“We engaged Designcubed to design an extension to our house in 2014. This was an important project for us and having had difficult experiences on previous building projects we had a degree of trepidation as well as the usual budget constraints. Stephen helped us enormously by helping us decide what was most important to us and to suggest solutions that would not have occurred to us. His support during the tendering period and in the initial meetings with the builder also helped us feel more confident in our decision making.

“As the project progressed, we identified new requirements and the builder identified constraints, Stephen was receptive and flexible and able to adapt the design where we all agreed it made sense. The positive and constructive relationship Stephen had with the builder was a great help in making sure it all went smoothly.

“We have been delighted with our extension since it was completed in 2015 and the time Designcubed spent with us making sure we knew what we wanted and what that would look like was crucial to that success”

Designcubed goes North!

This planning application is for the refurbishment, remodelling, & extension of an existing 60’s style detached dwelling within the Clifton Conservation Area of York.  The extensive alterations include reworking of the elevations including a single storey extension at the front of the property; relocation of the front entrance from the main facade to the side; raising of the roof to provide for an additional floor of accommodation; and a secure detached car port to the rear. The aim is to retain many of the design elements of the existing 60’s dwelling (footprint, window proportions, materials) whilst responding to features of the neighbouring period (and period style) properties (scale, proportion, roof pitch and prominent gables).

Rob Runs London Marathon!

We are very proud of Rob who completed the London Marathon today! Not only did he run in under 4 hours, he also ‘warmed up’ with the Manchester Marathon two weeks ago.

Rob ran both marathons raising money for the charity: Rhys Daniels Trust who funds ‘Home from Home’ accommodation for children’s hospitals across the UK.
